Sexual MedicineDr John Dean and Dr Jan Longworth are a husband an wife team, offering holistic, integrated care to men and women with problems and concerns related to their sexuality and sexual function. Dr John Dean is a Sexual Physician working in central London and in the west of England, and has more than 20 years experience in helping men, women and couples with sexual problems and concerns. Dr Jan Longworth works in the west of England, and has more than 20 years experience in women’s health and family medicine. She is particularly interested in the impact of hormonal and menopausal problems, and other general medical conditions on sexuality. You will find on these pages some information about the care they offer, contact information, consultation times and about sexual problems in general. Dr Dean consults at St Peter’s Andrology Centre, located within The London Clinic Consulting Rooms, 145 Harley Street, London W1; in the West of England he consults at the ITTC, Tamar Science Park, Plymouth and at The Plymouth Nuffield Hospital, in Devon. Dr Longworth consults with Dr Dean at the ITTC, Tamar Science Park, Plymouth, in Devon. Our approach: we consider biomedical, psycho-socio-cultural, relationship and partner factors as potential influences on any sexual problem. These need to be identified, acknowledged and explained. An integrated approach, using both medical and psychotherapeutic interventions is our usual practice.
